Varsity Team Remix
[edit]I just saw someone deleted the tracklisting that includes this remix, but even Britney's website http://www.myplaydirect.com/britney-spears/ still features it. Maybe it's just a different edition, but my guess is it should be kept until the album is released on all versions and we can verify if in fact it includes the Varsity Team remix in some editions or not.
Protect the page
[edit]DEAR GOD, PROTECT THE PAGE ALREADY! I requested earlier but they didn't yet. I hate when users add unsourced info. - Saulo Talk to Me 22:00, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- I have fully protected the page for 2 days--not semi-protected, but fully protected. Looking at the history, it isn't clear to me that this is a case of unsourced info/vandalism--I'm seeing both sourced and unsourced info in both version. Please discuss the dispute here and come to a consensus about which information is correct during the next 2 days, and no resumption of edit warring after that time. - Ok, thank you. :) - Saulo Talk to Me 14:42, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Track listing
[edit]Britney's tumblr posted the OFFICIAL track listing of the album IN THE UNITED STATES, which is the following:
- Gimme More (Kaskade Club Mix)
- Piece Of Me (Tiësto Club Mix)
- Radar (Tonal Club Remix)
- Womanizer (Benny Benassi Extended)
- Circus (Linus Loves Remix)
- If U Seek Amy (U-Tern Remix)
- 3 (Manhattan Clique Club Remix)
- Till The World Ends (Alex Suarez Club Remix)
- I Wanna Go (Gareth Emery Remix)
- Criminal (Varsity Team Remix)
Now yes, there is an European edition of the album: http://www.sonymusic.at/Britney-Spears/B-In-The-Mix-The-Remixes-Vol-2/P/2580473 . It is normal to release different editions around the world. See Melanie C's The Sea is an example of this. Please stop changing info and removing sources, otherwise the page will be fully protected or you guys will be banned from Wikipedia. Thanks in advance. - Saulo Talk to Me 14:47, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- Please get a better source than her tumblr account. Such a source is only questionably reliable for things of this type; usually SPS are only valid for personal information about the source. This is on the borderline, so a different source is better. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:40, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- Also, once protection is up, the Japanese tracks need to be unhidden--per WP:MOS, we do not use collapse boxes in articles with only a few, very carefully listed exceptions. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:41, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- Why is this even being discussed? It's pure vandalism. There's the tracklist Britney posted on her Tumblr, which is also the Japanese version [1] and the European edition from Sony Music. The bonus tracks are unsourced and made up by fans. Xwomanizerx (talk) 02:41, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- ^^^^^ This. - Saulo Talk to Me 09:29, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, now that I understand better, I'm going to drop from full protection to semi-protection. Feel free to fix it as appropriate. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:32, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

the Australian "limited edition" tracklisting is a hoax
[edit]hi all - I've never posted on Wikipedia before, but wanted to share my research on the supposed Australian exclusive CD for B In The Mix: The Remixes Volume 2 which is in fact an INTERNET HOAX. After seeing this tracklisting: http://www.discogs.com/Britney-Spears-B-in-The-Mix-Volume-2-Australia-Limited-Edition/release/3147393 -- I emailed the chain-store that was rumored to have stocked this release, JB Hi-Fi in Australia, asking for more details and could they confirm or deny if they were selling this item. They finally replied back to me just yesterday with the following response:
Thursday, October 13, 2011 6:34 PM From: "JB Hi-Fi Online Customer Service" Hi, Thanks for the email. I have been unable to find your requested item on the JB HiFi online website. Unfortunately, we are limited to ordering titles that are advertised on the website only. Sincere apologies for not been able to offer you our services this time. Regards, Ben | Online Customer Service Team | JB Hi-fi Online
I thought well maybe there's a small chance that this alleged 16-track CD was being sold at their stores only, and not on their website, so I took the liberty of calling some of the retail stores of JB Hi-Fi in Australia (long distance phone charges be damned! hehe). Of the 4 branch locations that actually sell CD's, not one of them said they carried any sort of "special edition" of the B In The Remixes 2 album -- none in stock, and not even listed in their system period. Only the 10-track standard CD that's been issued 'round the world. I had really gotten my hopes up on an Australian-exlclusive edition after various people with screen-names like DingDongMX, Jacksonsuxx, and Gabiarakelian had posted about it on different websites (including this one!) But now I've concluded that it is in fact FAKE fan-created information, and I'm posting this long explanation just for everyone's future reference, in case any other users try to add the hoax tracklisting back onto the Wikipedia page.
